Where I see myself in 5 years

The five-year arc — from prototype to deployed swarm, and the people I want around me by the end of it.

In five years I want to be measuring the right things. Right now I measure shipped subsystems and weeks-of-runway, which are necessary but myopic.

Five years out, the metric I care about is the number of households whose weekly time use shifted because of an artifact I helped build — not as a proxy for reach, but as a proxy for whether the thing is doing what it was supposed to do.

To get there I need:

  • Prototype 3 in shippable form, manufacturable in batches of 100.
  • A small permanent team — three, maybe five.
  • A second-mover that I helped raise, working on the orthogonal axis.

I revise this annually; this is the 2025 cut.
