What I owned: the contract between the agent runtime and everything that called into it — mobile, web, and the internal evaluation harness.
What I learned: the right place to put a versioned schema is the place nobody wants to put it (the boundary that ships fastest), and the wrong place to put it is the place that feels safest (the platform layer everyone agrees is "stable"). We did the safer thing first; the riskier thing later, and the riskier thing was the one that aged well.
